What you get

How verification works

  1. Find your listing and choose Claim this business.
  2. Sign in, then verify with a one-time code: a text to the phone number on the listing, or an email to an address at the listing’s website domain. Codes last 10 minutes.
  3. Pay $49 CAD once through Stripe Checkout.

Questions

How much does it cost to claim a listing?
$49 CAD, paid once through Stripe Checkout after you verify. It is not a subscription.
How do I prove the business is mine?
You verify with a one-time code. We text it to the phone number on the listing, or email it to an address at the listing’s website domain. A code is valid for 10 minutes and allows 5 wrong guesses.
What if my listing has no phone or website?
Each method needs the matching detail on the listing: a phone number for the text, a website for the email. The claim page offers only the methods your listing can use.
Which email addresses can I use?
An address at the domain of the website on the listing. Shared mail and social hosts (gmail.com, outlook.com, facebook.com, instagram.com, linktr.ee) cannot prove ownership, so a listing whose website is on one of them has no email method.
What do I get after I claim?
A blue checkmark on the listing, the ability to edit its details including the description and hours, and a followed link to your website. Until a listing is claimed, its website link is marked nofollow.
Can a claim be revoked, and is it refunded?
We may revoke a claim, for example when ownership is disputed. A revoked claim loses the checkmark, editing and the followed website link. There is no refund when a claim is revoked.
Is my business already listed?
Many GTA businesses already have a listing. Search for yours; if it is not there, you can add it from the Add your business page.
